One of the proposals is to develop a needle-punched fabric made from reused waste, or loom offcuts, and loom starter cloths, which are light fabrics similar to impalpable taffeta. The result is a cosy, soft fabric with a felted appearance that makes an excellent base for patches, back pocket labels and more visible outer labels.
